Married Life

It’s been a while since last I signed into my blog… numerous (spam) comments were in the moderation queue and some new (fake) users had signed up, all of which I promptly deleted. Obviously, the feedback I expected to receive hasn’t been the case, and I can only assume it’s due to my complete lack of updates. I promise to make a feable if not futile attempt to try and post more often. Regardless, it’s nice to have found the few moments to spend looking over my degregated site.

So yeah. I’m married now! There are moments where it feels no different than how I’ve felt over the past year, and then there are times where I am rediculously giddy, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found such an amazing person to spend my life with.

Our wedding turned out to be nearly perfect. As expected, there was the obligatory things that happened, which were beyond our realm of control, but all-in-all we cannot complain for the day which we were given. The weather was gorgeous and warm, and we had so many of our friends and family that made the journey to Maine to experience it with us.

Tom G, alumni of the Brick City Singers, was extremely awesome to us by travelling all the way from Seattle, WA with his video camera and Digital SLR equipment. He took some amazing photographs of the wedding and reception. Along with Dave C (also alum of BCS), they both took digital video of the wedding and plan on working together to create some sort of DVD montagé for us. Very exciting stuff, indeed.

It was so great getting to see everyone again from college, along with family whom I haven’t seen in years. Now that things should be slowing down for us a bit, I hope we’ll find the time to visit them all more often. Personally, I know I don’t get down to Long Island nearly enough, and that’s difficult on all of us.

Work at the Hospital has been busy as expected. Though, we finally got moved into one of the Condo units on campus… so it’s starting to feel like we actually have a home and a comfortable and clean space to work. Coworkers of mine are shifting positions again and I might jump into the mix if the opportunities presents itself, but I doubt it. Stress levels have been gradually increasing within our department, mostly due to numerous unknowns about the future. With the holiday’s right around the corner, we’ll begin our Employee Purchase program starting next week, which always creates an influx of calls and more work for all of us.

Again I find myself tackling Microsoft Licensing at work. This time, we’re going to do our due diligence, and follow through on the phone calls and meetings. Our team is split at the moment; half of us feel we’re compliant, half of us are extremely paranoid and concerned about being audited. I tend to fall with the cautious crowd in that category, only because I know how complex the M$ Licensing system is and how difficult it is to stay on top of it all. As our PC Mall representative said, “Microsoft Licensing rules change with the direction of the wind.”

Let me make one more promise before I go… and I know I’ve said it a number of times already, but I am really going to try to get more pictures uploaded into the Gallery. Keep posted - more to come! :)
