::Be Advised::
Some changes are coming to Foster’s Blog!! With any luck, it will all be done on the backend and no one will notice any site hiccups until the transition phase is complete. I intend to update to the latest and greatest versions of all the site software, but it’s going to take me a few weeks to before I’m satisfied enough to push into production. Stay tuned! Ooooh I’m excited :)

Married Life

Friday, November 2, 2007 – 7:30 pm

It’s been a while since last I signed into my blog… numerous (spam) comments were in the moderation queue and some new (fake) users had signed up, all of which I promptly deleted. Obviously, the feedback I expected to receive hasn’t been the case, and I can only assume it’s due to my complete lack of updates. I promise to make a feable if not futile attempt to try and post more often. Regardless, it’s nice to have found the few moments to spend looking over my degregated site.

So yeah. I’m married now! There are moments where it feels no different than how I’ve felt over the past year, and then there are times where I am rediculously giddy, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found such an amazing person to spend my life with. Read the rest of this entry »

Tom Waits on Fernwood Tonight

Sunday, June 10, 2007 – 12:35 pm

This has got to be one of the funniest videos I have seen in a while, and one of the best versions of “The Piano has been Drinking” performed by Tom Waits. Tom is one of those artists that thrived on the bizarre, but this song (at least in my opinion) is very unique in compared to the rest of his rĂ©pertoire.

Surface Computing

Saturday, June 9, 2007 – 6:24 pm

Microsoft is working on multi-touch or Multiple Input Processing technology in the realm of surface computing. In the interview with Popular Mechanics (shown below), they describe how the technology is wireless and can seamlessly interface with other wireless devices, allowing them to communicate and share data.

I think this is an amazing step in the right direction… I’m just a little disappointed it has taken so long to catch on. They mention some corporate/retail releases of this technology before the end of 2007. I could see this type of interface really making a large impact on the medical imaging aspect of healthcare. If they can get the surfaces to display a high enough resolution, it could make viewing MRI and CT images much more effective and intuitive.

I especially like that part at the end… seriously… controlling your entire home entertainment system from a large multi-touch tabletop in the livingroom. How awesome would that be?!
